Former champ Jiri Prochazka to face Aleksandar Rakic at UFC 300

In an all-European light heavyweight showdown, former champion Jiri Prochazka looks to return to the win column as he takes on top contender Aleksandar Rakic.

Prochazka, currently ranked at No. 2 in the division, is coming off a loss to Alex Pereira in a vacant title bout. Now, he’s ready to work his way up to a new shot at the belt as he faces No. 5 ranked Rakic.

Rakic returns to action after being out for almost two years due to a knee injury that he sustained in a bout against former title holder Jan Blachowicz.

Aljamain Sterling moves up to featherweight, set to take on Calvin Kattar

Former bantamweight champ Aljamain Sterling is also booked for the UFC 300 card. He now moves up to featherweight to take on the No. 7 ranked Calvin Kattar.

Sterling recently lost his belt as he got knocked out by Sean O’Malley. Before that, he had racked up three title defenses and nine straight wins inside the octagon.

As for Kattar, he’s lost three of his last four bouts against some of the best fighters in the division.

Bo Nickal returns versus Cody Brundage at UFC 300

Last but not least, undefeated prospect Bo Nickal is booked for his third UFC middleweight bout against fellow Dana White’s Contender Series alum Cody Brundage.

5-0 with every win coming by way of finish, Nickal is considered one of the sport’s hottest up-and-comers. He won two fights in Dana White’s Contender Series to earn his UFC contract and most recently handed then-undefeated Valentine Woodburn his first professional loss in what was Nickal’s second UFC outing.

As for Brundage, he holds a 10-5 MMA record with four wins and four losses in the UFC. Brundage lost his bout in DWCS, but later bounced back with a win in regional promotion LFA to earn a UFC deal. Now, he’s comin off a brutal knockout win by slam against Zachary Reese which was his second victory in a row.
