Seven athletes are no longer on the UFC roster*, including two top ranked contenders and a former title challenger.

Let’s take a closer look at the fighters who recently parted ways with UFC!

Zarah Fairn

French featherweight and bantamweight Zarah Fairn parted ways with the promotion after four straight losses and no wins.

Istela Nunes

Brazilian strawweight Istela Nunes has parted ways with the UFC after four straight losses in the promotion. In her last fight against Victoria Dudakova she dislocated her elbow.

Ashlee Evans-Smith

Flyweight and bantamweight veteran Ashlee Evans-Smith recently parted ways with the UFC after almost a decade in the promotion. During her career she fought some of the best fighters around, including top ranked bantamweights Raquel Pennington and Ketlen Vieira.

Tecia Torres

Top ten ranked strawweight veteran Tecia Torres has also parted ways with the promotion. During her long and successful career she faced future champions like Jessica Andrade, Rose Namajunas, Zhang Weili and Joanna Jedrzejczyk.

Her biggest wins came against Angela Hill, Michelle Waterson and Bec Rawlings.

Korean Zombie

Former title contender and MMA legend Jung Chan-sung, also known as the Korean Zombie, decided to hang up his gloves for good after recently losing to Max Holloway.

The South Korean veteran fought just about every top name in featherweight, including challenging Alexander Volkanovski for the belt in April 2022.

Derek Brunson

UFC Middleweight contender Derek Brunson has been released from the UFC after 21 fights and more than a decade in the promotion. Brunson had a high profil fight against Roman Dolidze booked for UFC 95 in November that is now canceled.

“He had an amazing career there. The last seven years he’s been in the top 10 rankings. The UFC was amazing to him there, helped shape who he is today and I’m very grateful for the opportunity he was given. He has to move on and looking forward to what comes next for him” Brunson’s manager Ali Abdelaziz said in a statement.
