UFC on ESPN 46 just took place at the Apex in Las Vegas and was headline by a pivotal flyweight between No. 7 ranked Amir Albazi who took on No. 3 ranked Kai Kara-France.
Albazi 76-1 (5-0 UFC) managed to secure his biggest win to date after edging out Kara-France 24-11 (6-4 UFC) over the coarse of five rounds – however it wasn’t easy.
Albazi showed himself to be much improved on the feet, willingly engaging the seasoned striker Kara-France on the feet. The exchanges were close, with neither fighter taking a huge lead. The biggest moment of the fight happened in the third round when Albazi scored a top position and was close to getting the finish. Kara-France perservered and it ended up being the judges that decided the outcome, with two out of three scoring the fight in favour of Albazi!
Albazi now improves to 5-0 in the UFC and a titel shot might be what’s next!
