A total of seven fighters were recently removed from the UFC roster. X account Roster Watch was first to report the news.

Jessica Penne

MMA veteran Jessica Penne has parted ways with the UFC after her recent loss at the Apex on October 19. Penne achieved a lot during her years as a pro fighter as she was the first Invicta FC Atomweight Champion and also competed in the first women’s fight in Bellator Fighting Championships.

Tamires Vidal

Tamires Vidal started her UFC run in the best possible way with a first-round flying knee knockout of Ramona Pascual in 2022. Since then, however, she racked up three straight losses.

After getting stopped by Joselyne Edwards at the Apex on October 19, she’s not on the UFC roster anymore.

Vinicius Salvador

  • MMA record: 14-7

Brazilian bantamweight Vinicius Salvador parts ways with the UFC after three straight losses.

He made it to the promotion via Dana White’s Contender Series in 2022 but failed to get a single win in the UFC.

In his most recent fight, he was stopped by Adrian Yanez in the first round.

Charalampos Grigoriou

  • MMA record: 8-5

Charalampos Grigoriou earned a contract after stopping Cameron Smotherman at Dana White’s Contender Series in 2023.

However, Grigoriou lost his two fights in the promotion in 2024 and is no longer on the roster.

Robelis Despaigne

  • MMA record: 5-2

Robelis “The Big Boy” Despaigne has parted ways with the UFC after going 1-2 in three fights. He stopped Josh Parisian in the first round in his debut and then fell short via unanimous decision to Austen Lane and Waldo Cortes-Acosta.

Before his MMA career, “The Big Boy” was a Taekwondo fighter with a bronze medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics on his resume.

Jesse Butler

  • MMA record: 12-6

US bantamweight Jesse Butler faced tough opponents in his two-fight promotional career.

After getting KO’d by crafty veteran Jim Miller in 2023, he lost via unanimous decision against Brad Katona in June.

Matheus Nicolau

  • MMA record: 19-5-1

Matheus Nicolau was in the top 10 in the stacked flyweight division when he and UFC parted ways.

The Brazilian is currently on a three-fight losing skid against Brandon Royval, Alex Perez and Asu Almabayev. His last fight took place at the Apex on October 19.

The Brazilian’s biggest wins came against Manel Kape and Matt Schnell.
