In May, UFC added four fighters to their roster – including a hyped champion with five straight wins.
Let’s take a closer look at the promotional newcomers!
Felipe Bunes

- Weight class: Flyweight
Felipe Bunes will make his UFC debut against Zhalgas Zhumagulov on June 17.
The Brazilian MMA fighter made his promotional debut back in 2011 and lately competed in Legacy Fighting Alliance.
Muin Gafurov

- Weight class: Bantamweight
Muin Gafurov will make his promotional debut on short notice as he’s taking on John Castaneda on Saturday’s UFC event in Las Vegas.
Gafurov competed in Dana White’s Contender Series back in 2021. He lost via split-decision to Chad Anheliger.
Diego Lopes

- Weight class: Featherweight
Brazil’s Diego Lopes was 21-6 when he signed with UFC but lost his short-notice debut to ranked Movsar Evloev.
In parallel to his MMA career, Lopes is the jiu-jitsu coach of UFC flyweight champion Alexa Grasso.
Muhammadjon Naimov

- Weight class: Lightweight
Lightweight Muhammadjon Naimov was signed on short notice to replace Guram Kutateladze at UFC on ESPN 46 on Saturday.
Naimov participated in Dana White’s Contender Series in 2020.
Ketlen Souza

- Weight class: Flyweight
With five straight wins and a Invicta FC flyweight title, 27-year-old Brazilian Ketlen Souza signed with UFC in May.
She will make her promotional debut on Saturday against Karine Silva.
