It’s the final UFC fight week 0f 2024!
On Saturday, December 14, the promotion wraps up the year with an exciting final event in Tampa, Florida. The stacked card features a bunch of early christmas gifts for fight fans – especially fans of Swedish MMA – both on the prelims and the main card.
Let’s take a closer look at five fights you just have to watch on UFC Tampa!
Josefine Knutsson vs. Piera Rodriguez

Undefeated strawweight prospect Josefine Lindgren Knutsson will take on Piera Rodriguez in the opening fight of the prelims. The pairing trained together briefly a couple of years back, which makes the contest even more interesting.
“Piera was preparing for her UFC debut,” Knutsson told Frontkick when the fight was announced. “Even though I just had two or three pro MMA fights at the time, I thought her takedowns and takedown defense wasn’t very impressive. It was easy to hold her down, even though I’m coming from a striking background. But she got good boxing and good movement.”
Expect a high-level strawweight bout with two excellent strikers. Make sure to tune in early on Saturday because you don’t want to miss this one!
Cub Swanson vs. Billy Quarantillo

There’s something about Cub Swanson that is hard to put a finger on, but he’s just one of those fighters you just take every opportunity to watch.
On Saturday, he will take the co-headline spot together with Tampa native Billy Quarantillo. The hometown hero has alternated wins in his eight past UFC fights and is looking to get back in the winning column in front of the Florida crowd.
This matchup has Fight of the Night written all over it!

Undefeated bantamweight prospect Daniel Marcos (16-0) is up for a tough fight at UFC Tampa. He will take on the skilled striker Adrian Yanez (17-5) who’s got five TKO and KO wins in the promotion.
The bantamweight division is stacked with talent from top to bottom and this fight is no exception. Make sure to check it out!
Michael Johnson vs. Ottman Azaitar

Fan favorite Michael Johnson (22-19) will return against Ottman Azaitar (13-2) in a lightweight contest that ends the prelims.
Johnson is a true veteran of the game who fought the likes of Khabib Nurmagomedov, Dustin Poirier, Beneil Dariush, Nate Diaz, just to name a few! Make sure not to miss this legendary fighter!
Miles Johns vs. Felipe Lima

Swedish-Brazilian Felipe Lima (13-1) looks to follow a very impressive UFC debut in June with another win in Tampa. Lima is a former FCR and OKTAGON MMA bantamweight champion and has proven himself to be one of the most exciting fighters coming out of Allstars Training Center in the past couple of years.
“I remember when I got the fight,” Lima recently said. “I was a bit depressed like ‘oh my God, I just want to fight’. A bit down. But when I got the fight everything changed. You got a reason to live, you know, and since I got this fight it’s been amazing.”
Lima will take on another surging prospect in Miles Johns (15-2) who’s six fights into his UFC career. The American has back-to-back wins in 2024 and was originally scheduled to take on former bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt.
