Title run in the UFC

Perhaps the most likely option is another run for the UFC title. Aldo seemed to have got his fire back and at the UFC 301 post-fight press conference, he claimed he’s not ruling out re-signing with the UFC.
“I wanted to fight here first, now yes, I can sit down with Dana (White) and see what is the best path we can take,” Aldo said.
Before his retirement, the former featherweight champion dropped down to bantamweight and fought for Petr Yan for the vacant title back in July 2020.
PFL’s featherweight division

Another hot take is that PFL would be eager to get Aldo to fight in their 2025 featherweight tournament.
The Brazilian would definitely put the spotlight on the division and bring starpower to the promotion. At age 37, Aldo would quite possibly be facing less dangerous opponents in the PFL than the UFC, and have a chance to add another title to his resume.

Aldo claimed he’s been offered contracts for super fights in boxing. However, at the moment it looks like he wants to continue fighting in MMA.
”I was sent a contract, but I said no. I’m with the UFC (still), so I need to fight, so I can see how I am. That was a big window that opened up for me.”
”My life has always been here (in the UFC), so I have to come and sit with them and see what’s the best path I can take.”
