After Saturday’s impressive KO-win over former champion RDA, Rafael Fiziev will most likely break into the top-10 of the stacked UFC lightweight division.

After Saturday’s win, it’s clear that Fiziev has his eyes on a fight with Justin ”The Highlight” Gaethje next.
”He’s dangerous. He’s a big challenge for me,” Fiziev said. ”He has a lot of chance to knock me out, and I have a lot of chance to knock him out. But yeah, that’s a good fight, for fans also.”
”He have shit kicks, but he has good power in his hands.”
Although, No. 3 ranked Gaethje could be a little high on the ladder at the moment, it would for sure be a interesting and entertaining fight.

Another very interesting fight would be No. 8 ranked Mateusz Gamrot. The well-rounded Polish fighter is a tough opponent for everyone in the deep lightweight division, and seems like the most logical next step for Fiziev.
Since losing his UFC-debut to Guram ”The Georgian Viking” Kutateladze back in October 2020, Gamrot has four straight wins. On June 25, he defeated the tough Arman Tsarukyan by unanimous decision.

No. 6 ranked Beneil Dariush is also a very interesting opponent for Rafael Fiziev.
Dariush is currently on a seven-fight win streak but has not fought since May last year, when he defeated Tony Ferguson by unanimous decision. However, he was scheduled to face No. 4 ranked Islam Makhachev in February 26, but had to withdraw from the fight due to an ankle injury.
Dariush has no fight booked at the moment and a scrap with the rising contender Fiziev would make alot of sense.
