Swedish MMA promotion Fight Club Rush just announced that they will invite local youths to go to FCR 14 for free. In a statement published on social media talked about the initiative.
”How can the MMA community get kids to start doing sports? It’s not good that things go the wrong way in this country. We felt that we wanted to do something good for youth, their parents might not be able to afford tickets, so we wanted to offer kids the possibility to watch MMA, so they can see something new.
All schools or youth centers that are interested can be a part of it, just pull together a group of kids who can come to the event with a teacher or leader. If you are interested, feel free to contact us and we will provide you with tickets, however, it’s important that it goes through a school, youth center or similar.
FCR is growing and we need to engage the youth, especially from areas of concern, in sports. That’s how you get role models and build new dreams,” FCR wrote in the statement. (Translated from Swedish by Frontkick)
