Swedish Muay Thai fighter Emilia Koivisto might be new to the Muay Thai world, but she’s already put herself on the map on the Scandinavian fight scene.
“If I do something I go all in, Koivisto recently told Käftsmällspodden. “I decided from the start that I wanted to compete in Muay Thai.”
Just four years after stepping into the gym for the first time, she has become a force to be reckoned with.
“I’ve taken a lot of fights, right from the start. Just taking fights just to get into the game, that’s the only way to learn. I’ve fought 21 times in two years.”
The young Muay Thai prospect will soon face her toughest test to date as she will take on Swedish Muay Thai veteran Patricia Axling at STHLM Fight Night 2 on November 25 at Müncenbryggeriet.
“The bout I’m most excited about is STHLM Fight Night when I will face Patricia,” Koivisto said. “That’s a fight I’ve been looking forward to for a long time. It will be a lot of fun!”
STHLM Fight Night 2 will also feature fighters like Jonathan Höglund, Daniel Lejonstad, Wittaya “Fluck” Thawinphrai and Ali Mehrvash.
