Swedish flyweight Amir Malekpour just took on Tom Creasy at Cage Warriors 169 in London. Malekpour entered the fight undefeated in the promotion with two stoppage wins.
The first round began with exchanges n the feet before Creasy took the fight to the ground, escaping a guillotine before the two got back to the feet where Malekpour seemed to have an ever so slight edge.
The second round was relatively even on the feet once again though Creasy landed a well-timed takedown before getting swept by Malekpour. Once again they returned to standing position where it continued to be close.
Both fighters were fatigued in the third round though Malekpour put his foot on the gas, pressing forward and landing a nearly endless barage of strikes on Creasy who just barely hung on.
The fight went to a decision with Malekpour getting the majority decision with the scorecards being: 29-27, 30-26, 28-28.
The fight against Creasy marked the Swede’s third outing in the British MMA promotion. Before this Malekpour had lined up two straight wins via finish, including an impressive win via submission i nhis second bout in the promotion in which he tapped out former title challenger Dylan Hazan.
