Waltteri Häkkinen and Raymond Johansson delivers an epic battle

A highly interesting featherweight clash between rising Swedish star Raymond Johansson and undefeated Waltteri ”Da Vinci” Häkkinen just took place on the main card of FCR 19 in Stockholm.

Häkkinen threw high kicks in the beginning of the first round but Johansson connected with good short punches. The Finnish fighter put on a flurry that cut Johansson with two minutes to go. At the one minute mark, Häkkinentook the fight to the ground but the Swede landed good elbows from his back.

Johansson connected with a good straight right to open the second round. Häkkinen answered with a takedown and landed heavy elbows from the top. With 1.30 left, he poured on a barrage of punches but Johansson survived.

Häkkinen secured a take down to open the third round and worked on taking his opponents back. Johansson reversed positions and landed good knees cheered on by the excited crowd. Häkkinen looked exhausted by the end of the round but was still able to take the fight to the ground again.

After the final bell, Häkkinen stood as the winner via unanimous decision with 29-28, 29-27 and 29-28 on the scorecards.

Raymond Johansson is 2-2

Raymond Johansson is known to the mainstream audience through the documentary “Raymonds Dröm” that was shown on national Swedish television SVT.

He now holds a pro MMA record of 2-2.

Waltteri ”Da Vinci” Häkkinen is still undefeated with 4-0.
