Swedish MMA star in the making, Liam Pitts, is confident he will remain undefeated after his first AFN amateur title defense on Saturday. He will take on the tough Tufan Ahmadi, a Nordic and Finnish MMA champion, who’s also a six-time Finnish champion and a three-time Nordic wrestling champ.

“He’s experienced. He’s more experienced than I am,” Pitts told Frontkick at the AFN 5 pre-fight press conference. “He’s a good fighter, that’s why I want him too. He’s a good guy to have on my record. The last guy (I fought) was supposed to be my toughest test, I took him out in 40 second, so this guy is next.”

“I hope you are ready. I will die in there. You know that, I will die in there,” Liam told his opponent when things got heated at the press conference.

Ahmadi was quick to reply.

“No problem – you will die.”

“I know Liam Pitts better than himself”

Ahmadi is best known for his wrestling but claimed he is a well-rounded MMA fighter who’s ready to smash his opponent.

“I studied every fight he had, I know him better than himself,” Ahmadi said. “He’s a good fighter and I like his style. I think it will be a good match. I’m ready to take this belt home to Finland.”
