Swedish Muay Thai fighter Johanna Persson competed in an international fight in Thailand this weekend.

At the Hua Hin Muay Thai gym she took on US fighter Gabi Maxwell in a 54 kilo bout.

Just 40 seconds into the fight, the Swede stood as the winner via knockout.

The fight was Persson’s fourth since relocating to Thailand for a couple of months of training and competing.

Johanna Persson is the WMC Nordic champ

In August 2023, Johanna Persson won her biggest fight to date as she defeated the seasoned veteran Tessa Kakkonen to win the prestigious WMC Nordic title.

“I fought a great fight and it was more than enough to get the win,” Persson told Frontkick after the fight. “I’m bloody happy to win my performance against Tessa, who’s such an experienced fighter. I feel like I really can step up and fight when I face opponents at that level.”
