Stockholm flyweight Jonny Touma wants to get back to Swedish ground for a fight in Fight Club Rush.
And he has a special opponent in mind.
In a new interview with Frontkick’s sister site, Maximum Sports, Touma revealed that he wants to face fellow flyweight Rohulla Yousefi, who comes from a decision win against Zoran Milic at FCR 16 this past Saturday.
“It feels like people here in Sweden forgot who’s the real king of the flyweights. It’s time to come back to show it once again. Both me and Rohulla have faced Zoran, and there will probably be a rematch between Renato [Vidovic] and Amir [Malekpour], so it would fit just fine. There are levels to this game and I will show that,” Touma said.
In the past few years, Jonny Touma fought in FCR and UAE Warriors and pulled together a 5-2 pro record. In his last outing, he lost the UAE Warriors flyweight title bout via disqualification in the third round.
After watching the fight between Milic and Yousefi at FCR 16 he’s more than confident he got what it takes to get back in the win column if he faces Yousefi next.
“I punch harder, I’m faster, I’m stronger. I’ve got more experience, I’m a more complete fighter. I’m better than him everywhere,” Touma said. “Let FCR book the fight, and I will show him that there are levels to this game.”
