MMA prospect Linus Jönsson will be back in action on Saturday’s Wolf Fight Promotion 9. The intention is to get back in the win column in the most forceful way possible, after the tough split decision loss at the recent Nordic Championship in Gothenburg.
“The Nordic Championship was a slap in the face, I realized I ended up in the same bad habits the last couple of fights that I’ve lost. Now it’s time to change that,” Jönsson said in an interview with Sebastian Vendel-Martinez from Frontkick’s sistersite Maximum Sports.
Tomorrow, he’s facing a tough opponent in hometown hero Deldar Qaso from APEX Kalmar Idrottsförening.
“I’m entering this fight with a new-found belief in myself. I know what I’m capable of and that will give everything in the cage. I never felt like this ahead of a fight before, and it’s amazing.”

Linus Jönsson is the latest fighter to be added to the growing roster at Viracci Sports Management. The management is currently signing some of the most interesting Muay Thai and MMA fighters in Sweden.
“Me and my coach chose to work with Viracci Sports Management because we know what Andres is doing for the sport and that’s inspiring to see,” Jönsson said. “VSM will be an even bigger platform for me to grow as a fighter and person.”
Viracci Sports Management will provide matchmaking, media coverage, sponsorship deals, juridical support and help with sports psychology for their athletes.
“The fans can expect an even more ‘game’ Linus. I’ve realized what my faults are and I’m tired of pampering myself and not being able to perform at the level I know that I’m capable of.”
