Millie Eriksson confident facing undefeated World Champ: “I don’t see any real threats”

On Saturday, Swedish MMA fighter Millie Eriksson will cross the Baltic Sea to clash with the undefeated Sani Brännfors at CAGE 58 in Finland.

Eriksson is set for a tough challenge as she’s taking on the Finnish Youth World Champion and U-21 World Champion on short notice.

In an interview with Frontkick’s sister site Maximum Sports, the Swede claimed she was more than happy to take the fight against the hyped opponent.

“She’s got good merits but so do I,” Eriksson said. “Sure as hell I took the fight when they offered it to me. I’ve been waiting for a fight.”

Millie Eriksson doesn’t feel threatened

As she trained both at Västerås Fight Club and Allstars Training Center in Stockholm, the formidable Swedish 2021 MMA World Cup champion is confident in her skills as she’s going into the fight on Brännfors’ home turf.

“A lot of my success is based on who I train with and where I’m training. I’ve become better on every aspect of MMA and a more complete fighter. Complete and creative.”

“I haven’t seen a lot of her but I’m pretty sure she will try to wrestle me. I don’t see any real threats anywhere,” Millie Eriksson said about her undefeated opponent.
