Swedish MMA fighter Nina Back has inked a multi-fight deal with local promotion Battle of Botnia.
According to the promotion, the deal is historic as Back is the first female fighter to sign a multi-fight deal with a Swedish organization.
The strawweight fighter commented on the news on social media.
“I’m so happy for this opportunity and I’m looking forward to what 2024 has to offer,” Back said. “This will keep me active and build my brand. And it’s great to be able to do that in front of the Norrland crowd.”
“One of our goals in our three-year plan is to lift up female fighters in Swedish MMA” Battle of Botnia wrote on Instagram. We are so proud of the deal with Nina. She’s a great ambassador and shares our vision.”
A few weeks back, Nina Back got her first professional win at Battle of Botnia 8 as she defeated UK’s Indy Briar with rear-naked-choke.
“It means a lot, I’m at the start of my career. It’s important to get the wins, the fights and the experience at this point. It’s the start of the journey, but yeah, the wins are very important,” Back told Käftsmällspoddens Kristjan Dogar after the fight.
Nina Back is a pro fighter with a 1-1 record. As an amateur she represented the Swedish National Team and won five IMMAF silver medals.
