Swedish Muay Thai fighter Johanna Persson has her next fight cut out for her.
On July 6 she will take on fan favourite Alex Rose in Combat Fight Series for the vacant CFS 50,7 kilo world title at York Hall.
The skilled Rose is England’s No. 1 in the -51kg weight class and a WBC Muay Thai European Champion and a WBC Muay Thai British Champion. She’s undefeated in CFS and a tough opponent for anyone.
Persson’s coach, David Lehnberg, gives an comment to Frontkick.online.
“After five years of training and competing, our goal is to take Johanna to the absolute top level, and we are well on our way. On her way to the top she needs to face the best in her weight class,” Lehnberg says.
“Alex Rose is one of them and that’s why we are extra happy for this opportunity. The title is just a bonus.”
Gefle Fight Center’s Johanna Persson is a decorated Muay Thai fighter with many titles to her name, including three Swedish Championship gold medals and a WMC Nordic title.
She also represented the Swedish National team in several tournaments.
