18 year old Swedish ONE champion Smilla “The Hurricane” Sundell made her promotional return just now in the Thai capitol of Bangkok. She faced Serbian fighter Milana Bjelogrlic – who is a national kickboxning champ in her home country.
The fight would prove to be quite one sided, though, despite the Serbs credentials. Sundell marched forward, showing borderline disdain for her opponents offence. Sundell landed a slew of punches kicks and brilliant step in knees the brutalised her opponent. Sundell also landed a few high kicks and intense left hooks to the liver that visibly hurt Bjelogrlic.
It seemed as if Sundell would finish the fight several times, but in the end the Serb managed to hang in and made it through the three, brutal rounds.
Sundell would go on to win via a clear-cut unanimous decision.
