Swedish MMA is stronger than ever with standout fighters in the biggest promotions of the world.
Going into 2023 we have a Swedish PFL champion in Sadibou Sy, top ranked UFC fighters like Khamzat Chimaev and Pannie Kianzad – as well as promising and entertaining local talents fighting in promotions in Sweden and Europe.
With the Official Swedish MMA Rankings just updated it’s time to take a look at the Swedish flyweights.
UFC fighter Amir Albazi, who grew up in Stockholm, Sweden, is currently the highest ranked flyweight on the Official Swedish MMA Rankings. The-29-year old is undefeated in the promotion with four straight wins, three of them coming by stoppage, and could quite possibly be challenging for the UFC flyweight title in the next few years.
Holding the No. 2 spot is Stockholm’s Jonny Touma, who has back-to-back stoppage wins at FCR and UAE Warriors in 2022. The-28-year-old has collected a professional record of 5-1 since his pro debut back in August 2020.
At No. 3 on the Swedish MMA rankings we have the always entertaining Zoran Milic. The 26-year-old fan favorite started 2022 strong with two straight wins at FCR, but unfortunately ended the year with three straight fights canceled.
