Swedish Muay Thai fighter Vanessa Romanowski made her K1 debut in style as she defeated Stefania Ferraro at Strike King event in Poland. The bout took place in a salt mine 250 meters underground.
In a Instagram post, the young Swede commented on the unanimous decision win.
“My pro debut in K1 resulted with a win,” Romanowski wrote. “It’s an amazing feeling to get out of the ring with a victory and my heart is full of gratitude to the coaches, sponsors, fans and everyone who has supported me on this journey. Without your passion and commitment, I would not have achieved this success. This is just the beginning – let’s reach the top together!”
Romanowski had an extensive camp with four weeks at her club in Poland and about a month of training and fine tuning in Thailand.
“It’s an honor to be a part of such a unique event. I look forward to the fight and the chance to deliver an impressive performance,” she told Frontkick ahead of the fight.
In November, Romanowski won the Polish Cup in Muay Thai on short notice.
