On Saturday December 10, Wolf Fight Promotion will take over Kalmar to hold the city’s first-ever MMA event.

In the Wolf Fight Promotion 5 main event, middleweight Daniel Bergström will take on former National Team fighter Daniel Karlsson in a professional MMA bout.

The card also features an amateur middleweight title fight between Josef Al-Zubeidy and Tor Sohlström, as well as a bunch of other exciting bouts, including boxer Ellen Karlsson’s MMA debut and a clash between Tobias Wallberg and Tobias Söderberg.

Josefine Modig’s pro debut put on hold

One of Sweden’s most exciting amateurs, Josefine Modig, was set to make her long-awaited pro debut in front of her hometown crowd, but the fight recently fell through due to her opponent’s visa problems.

However, Modig will still be on the card, and the promotion just announced that she will face Astrid Vikgren in a No-Gi grappling match.

“Astrid Vikgren steps up on short notice to fight Modig in a No-Gi super fight! Due to unfortunate events and cancelled fights Modig will not make her professional MMA debut just yet. Instead two of Sweden’s best grapplers are pitted against each other to treat the audience to a show,” the WFP recently wrote on Instagram.
