One of Sweden’s absolute best pro boxers, Anthony ”Can you dig it” Yigit plans to return to the ring in 2024 with two fights in the beginning of the year. At the moment there is no opponent, date or location known for the fights.
However, it also looks like the former European Champion and Olympic pugilist might hang up his gloves for good in the next 12 months.
In a recent Instagram post, the Stockholm based boxer shared his plans for the future.
”You can look forward to explosive fights next year! Already in January and February,” Yigit wrote. ”Boxing has given me so much but 2024 will probably be my last year in the ring. After that I will take on and develop new things. If I get a great offer I might be back for more boxing in the future. You know how it is, elite athletes retire and make comebacks like ten times. I’m honestly tired of chasing the world right now,” Yigit wrote.

Over the past couple of months, Yigit has stayed very busy as a fighter, competing both in Sweden and abroad. The 31-year-old Swedish southpaw comes from a win in Denmark last month.
In August he took on Denys Berinchyk for the WBO International Lightweight Title. Yigit was an underdog going into the fight but put on a massive performance and lost the fight via decision.
