UFC reporter Charly Arnolt has left ESPN to join conservative-leaning digital media company OutKick that covers sports, news and politics.
“It feels like I was a little bit stifled in the past,” Arnolt recently told IndyStar.“People are too scared to speak up for the fear of being called politically incorrect. The idea of cancel culture, it doesn’t exist here. I speak freely.”
Even though the 35-year-old is no longer working with ESPN, she claimed on social media that she’s “still working with UFC,” which has a broadcast deal with ESPN.
Arnolt spent the past five years at ESPN, who declined to comment on her leaving the company.
Besides working with UFC, she also hosted “First Take,” “SportsCenter” and made regular appearances on ESPN+’s weekday morning show, “SportsNation”.
Charly Arnolt claims she couldn’t express her opinions
Charly Arnolt told IndyStar that she is very much looking forward to be able to speak her opinions freely at the conservative-leaning OutKick.
“I have a lot of opinions that I haven’t been able to express, and I can’t wait to get started.”
“I’m not going to put a stamp on my political beliefs. I think a lot of what OutKick does best is they approach everything from a common sense standpoint and that is where I stand. There are a lot of issues if you use a little common sense, you can find the answer the right way,” Charly Arnolt said.
