Former UFC bantamweight champion Cody “No Love” Garbrandt is set to return to the octagon early next year.

At UFC 285 on March 4, “No Love” will clash with 33-year-old Julio Arce. Both bantamweights recently confirmed the news on social media, after a first report by Eurosport NL.

Cody Garbrandt lost five of his past six fights

Cody Garbrandt has lost five of his past six fight. In his last fight he tested his wings in the flyweight division but fell short to top ranked Kai Kara-France who won by a first-round KO.

“No Love’s” only victory since December 30 2016, when he won the UFC bantamweight title against Dominick Cruz, was a spectacular knockout of Raphael Assuncao at UFC 250 in June 2020.

Current lineup for UFC 285 in Las Vegas

With the addition of the fight between Arce and Garbrandt, the UFC 285 card looks as following at this point:

  • Women’s Strawweight bout: Jessica Penne vs. Tabatha Ricci
  • Bantamweight bout: Farid Basharat vs. Da’Mon Blackshear
  • Women’ss flyweight bout: Viviane Araujo vs. Amanda Ribas
  • Bantamweight bout: Julio Arce vs. Cody Garbrandt

UFC 285 will take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on March 4.
