Conor McGregor might be back in action soon.
The former two-division champion recently expressed frustration regarding the lack of fights he’s presented with. However, UFC CEO Dana White claimed in a new interview that both parts are in talks.
“I talked to Conor today,” White said. “I’m in Abu Dhabi right now, Conor’s in Dubai. We talked tonight. He and I will get something figured out soon. We’re talking.”
White did neither confirm nor deny the possibility of McGregor fighting on the massive UFC 300 in April next year. He did promise to announce a few new fights soon though.
“UFC 300, I told you, there’s more coming this week. You guys are so aggressive. There will be more fights for 300 announces this week,” White said. “I’ll have a bunch more this week for 300 to let you guys in on. Not the main event. I won’t have the main event yet. Waiting on the main event.”
Visiting the “Day of Reckoning” boxing event on December 30, Conor McGregor blamed UFC for delaying his comeback.
“Give me something. I’m supposed to be back in April. It was supposed to be December. For all the figures I’ve brought in this game, I sell more than all of them combined. No one in the history of the fight game has been treated the way I’ve been getting treated at this minute,” McGregor said.
