Daniel Rodriguez has failed a drug test and won’t fight Santiago Ponzinibbio at the Noche UFC card on September 16 in Las Vegas.
The welterweight recently commented on the situation on Instagram.
”Following a communication from USADA today, I wanted to clarify the current situation to the media, my supporters, and everybody involved in the sport of mixed martial arts. Today I was notified that an out-of-competition sample that I provided to USADA was positive for an extremely low level of Ostarine. First and foremost, I want to clarify I did not intentionally use Ostarine, nor have I ever knowingly used any prohibited substance in my career,” Rodriguez wrote on Instagram.
Noche UFC will celebrate Mexican independence day, and features a women’s title bout headliner where reigning champion Alexa Grasso takes on former champ Valentina Shevchenko in a five round rematch.
The card also features an interesting welterweight bout between Jack Della Maddalena and Kevin Holland.
