UFC star Dustin Poirier just bounced back to the win column in spectacular fashion as he knocked out rising prospect Benoit “God of War” Saint-Denis at UFC 299 in Miami.
The lightweight co-main event, scheduled for five rounds, was an absolute banger from the get-go.
Saint-Denis started off strong and probably won round one as he landed solid shots and had more output. Poirier then turned things around in the round two.

From time to time, Poirier and Saint-Denis would just stand and trade in the pocket as Saint-Denis was relentless with his forward-pressure. However, after a couple of ground battles and arguably a few guillotine attempts too many from Poirier, it was the former interim champion who started to connect with some serious punches in round two.
Poirier dropped Saint-Denis twice before ultimately putting him out later in the second.
