DWCS Results: Record amount of contracts in Season 7 finale!

Dana White has been in a generous mood during the seventh season of Dana White’s Contender Series. In 2023, he actually broke the previous record as he gave out no fewer than 46 UFC contracts during the season.

At last nights Season Finale, lightweight Marquel Mederos, featherweight Connor Matthews, flyweight Andre Lima, and bantamweights Lucas Rocha and Ramon Taveras were offered UFC deals.

Taveras stood for one of the most impressive performances of the evening as he knocked out Cortavious Romious after just 29 seconds of the first round.

Torrez Finney won but didn’t get a contract

The only fighter who did not get a contract was undefeated middleweight prospect Torrez Finney who submitted Yuri Panferov by second-round rear-naked choke.

However, the UFC president claimed Finney needed more time to develop as a fighter and that he’d be doing the 24-year-old a disservice by bringing him into the world’s leading MMA promotion at this point of his young career.
