The UFC recently announced that a matchup between former strawweight champion Jessica Andrade and top ranked contender Marina Rodriguez will take place at the historic UFC 300, which is set for April 13 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Andrade has been very active in 2023, fighting in both strawweight and flyweight over the past few years. In her last fight against Mackenzie Dern, she snapped a three-fight losing skid.
Rodriguez is 5-2 in her past seven outings and fought nothing but absolute elite level strawweights over the past five years.
Even though UFC 300 is currently without a headliner, two title fights are booked for the card. In the strawweight title clash we will see reigning champion Zhang Weili take on No. 2 ranked contender Yan Xiaonan.
The card also features a BMF title fight between Justin Gaethje and Max Holloway.
