Former UFC fighter Elias Theodorou has sadly passed away on Sunday at age 34.
According to reports, the Canadian was battling stage-4 liver cancer, with the diagnosis only known to his closest.
Theodorou fought 22 professional MMA fights with a record of 19-3, that includes eleven bouts in the UFC. His most notable wins came against Eryk Anders, Dan Kelly and Sam Alvey. He also won The Ultimate Fighter: Nations middleweight tournament, back in 2014.
After leaving the UFC in 2019, the Canadian middleweight won three straight fights. His last win came in December last year.
Besides his successful career as a professional fighter, Elias Theodorou also broke new ground as the first male fighter to be a ring boy, serving in this role for all-female MMA promotion Invicta FC.
