Swedish-Georgian lightweight Guram Kutateladze suffered a tough loss at this past Saturday’s UFC on ESPN 48 as he clashed in a Fight of the Night-winning three-rounder against Elves Brener

After delivering two violent and exciting rounds of action, Kutateladze was eventually TKO’d by the insanaly durable Brener.

The “Georgian Viking” recently released a statement on social media commenting on the tough defeat.

“Every human has two choices every day of their life. Give up and quit, or get up and keep moving forward. There is only one way for me. Thanks everyone for your support. See you soon,” Kutateladze wrote.

After the crazy fight, the Brazilian 25-year-old had nothing but good words for his opponent.

“When I woke up this morning, I just knew that this fight was going to be a war. I mean, he is a tough guy. He is into wars and he comes at you and he brings the war to you. I just decided to actually take the war to him,” Brener said at the UFC on ESPN 48 post-fight press conference.

Guram Kutateladze made his UFC debut in flying colours as he defeated Mateusz Gamrot via split decision in October 2020. He then faced the skilled Damir Ismagulov in July last year in a fight he lost via a razor-thin split decision.

He currently has a pro record of 12-4, with 1-2 in the UFC.
