Former two-time UFC champion Henry Cejudo is out of his fight against Marlon Vera at UFC 292 in August.
“Unfortunately due to my right shoulder, I won’t be able to fight,” Cejudo said in a video posted to Instagram. “Guys, I’ve already torn my left shoulder, where I was out for about a year. I don’t want it to tear further than what it already is. … There’s a tear in there guys. The cat’s out of the bag. It is actually a 50 percent tear.”
At this time, it is unclear if “Chito” Vera will remain on the card.
IFC 292 takes place in Boston on August 19 and will be headlined by a bantamweight bout between champion Aljamain Sterling and challenger Sean O’Malley.
