Huge change in the Diaz vs. Paul fight: ”Big advantage for Nate”

There had been some back-and-forth between YouTuber turned pro boxer Jake Paul and former UFC fighter Nate Diaz over the number of rounds in their August boxing fight.

The bout was initially scheduled for 8 rounds at 185 pounds, however, the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation recently confirmed that the fight has been approved for 10 rounds.

The fight will take place at the American Airlines Center in Dallas on August 5. The undercard bouts are still to be announced.

Jake Paul: ”Obviously a big advantage for Nate”

This will be the first time in his professional boxing career that Paul is scheduled for 10 rounds.

The ”Problem Child” took to social media to comment on the change.

“10 rounds, if the fight goes to the later rounds, it’s obviously a big advantage for Nate,” Jake Paul wrote on Twitter. “I know that, he knows that (that’s why he made the request), the oddsmakers know that. But I don’t give a fuck. I’m all in.”

First boxing fight for Nate Diaz

The boxing bout will be Nate Diaz’s first fight since leaving the UFC in 2022.

In his last octagon appearance the 38-year-old defeated fellow MMA veteran Tony ”El Cucuy” Ferguson in the UFC 279 main event.
