In the co-main event of UFC London, Swedish middleweight Jack Hermansson put on a perfect perfomance when he outfought a frustrated Chris Curtis over three rounds. In the end, Hermansson stood as the winner via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 30-27).
However, the Swede did not seem too happy about how the fight went.
“I’m sorry to the fans about the fight,” Hermansson said in his post-fight interview. “I was supposed to fight Darren Till, and I got Chris on short notice and I needed to secure the win. Sorry guys.”
The Swede was light on the feet in the start of the fight, landed some good kicks and controlled the round from the outside. In the second round ”The Joker” continued to move and land kicks. In the middle of the round, Hermansson caught his opponent with a barrage of punches and elbows but the American survied. By the end of the round Curtis looked very frustrated. In the final round Hermansson circled and landed kicks to the legs, body and head.
“The Joker” has a professional record of 23-7 and made his UFC debut in September 3, 2016 with a unanimous decision win over Scott Askham. His most notable wins so far came against Jacaré Souza, David Branch and Kelvin Gastelum.
