An interesting UFC heavyweight matchup is set for an UFC Fight Night event on October 1. No. 9 ranked heavy-handed Jairzinho Rozenstruik will take on No. 10 ranked Chris Daukaus.
The fight was announced by Rozenstruik in an interview with YouTuber Competitive Origins MMA, and the news was later confirmed by other sources.

Jairzinho Rozenstruik and Chris Daukus comes from tough losses
Both heavyweights have a lot at stake in their upcoming fight. Jairzinho Rozenstruik has lost three of his most recent four fights in the promotion and is coming off losses to Alexander Volkov and top ranked Curtis ”Razor” Blaydes.
His 32-year-old opponent Chris Daukaus has lost two straight fights, against Derrick ”The BLack Beast” Lewis and Curtis Blaydes. Before the losses he rode a four-fight-TKO-win-streak against Parker Porter, Rodrigo Nascimento, Aleksei Oleinik, and Shamil Abdurakhimov.

Stacked lineup on October 1
With the interesting heavyweight addition, the October 1 Fight Night lineup is getting more and more stacked.
The card is headlined by a strawweight fight between top ranked Mackenzie Dern and Yan Xioanan. Former bantamweight championCody Garbrandt will also fight in the event as he takes on Rani Yahya in a three round fight.
Brendan Allen, Krzysztof, Tabatha Ricci and Cheyanne Vlismas is also set to fight at the October 1 event.
