With last Saturday’s win over Dustin Jacoby, light heavyweight Khalil Rountree Jr extended his winning streak and has now three straight victories in the octagon.
However, after the fight he declared that he won’t compete in the UFC until he’s been added as a character in the “EA Sports: UFC 4” video game.
”Don’t call me,” Rountree said at the post-fight press conference. ”Dana White, Hunter , Mick – don’t call me until I’m in the game. Don’t ask me who I want to fight next or when I want to fight next. Put me in the game. Call them. Make a call. Tell EA Sports, ‘Dude, this guy has been in the UFC seven years. Get him in the game.’ That’s all I ask, and then we can start talking about what’s next and who’s next.”
The American light heavyweight made his promotional debut back in November 2016 and so far defeated tough fighters like Paul ”Bear Jew” Craig, Eryk Anders and Karl Roberson.
In April 2016, Rountree competed as a fighter on The Ultimate Fighter: Team Joanna vs. Team Cláudia. He made it all the way to the finals where he lost via unanimous decision to Andrew Sanchez.
