Khamzat Chimaev has reached out to extend his support to Tony Ferguson following his brutal knockout loss this weekend.

It first looked like Tony Ferguson was back in full form during Saturdays UFC 274, when he faced off against Michael Chandler, dominating the first round of the fight.

Unfortunately though for “El Cucuy” and all his fans, Ferguson was knocked out by a particularly vicious frontkick from Chandler in the second round.

Tony Ferguson is now on a four-fight skid as his career has seen a turn downhill during the latest years. But “El Cucuy” does seem to have a big fan in Khamzat Chimaev.

Taking to Twitter, the Swedish UFC superstar extended his support to Ferguson, whom he calls a “legend of the sport”.

“Keep your head up, you are already a legend in this sport,” Khamzat Chimaev writes.

Khamzat Chimaev himself is coming from his biggest UFC win yet, defeating Gilbert Burns after a crazy fight at UFC 273 last month.

“Borz” is undefeated during his professional career, with eleven straight victories, winning five straight in the UFC. The Swede is currently ranked no. 3 on the official UFC welterweight rankings.
