After the UFC 273 media day, welterweight contenders Khamzat Chimaev and Gilbert Burns bumped into each other at the fighter hotel while wearing only towels in the midst of their weight-cutting process.
“Ah, I’ve got you now! Come, we’ll fight naked!” Chimaev joked, before they shook hands and got face-to-face for the first time ahead of their bout.
The encounter proceeded quite respectfully, yet heated as Chimaev displayed his confidence.
Khamzat Chimaev: “You’re small brother. You have to each much brother. Eat banana brother, chocolate brother.”
Gilbert Burns: “I don’t need it.”
Khamzat Chimaev: “Are you sure?”
Chimaev then started to feel Burns’ strength while holding onto the handshake.
Khamzat Chimaev: “Show me power brother.”
Gilbert Burns: “I will show you on Saturday.”
Khamzat Chimaev: “I hope so.”
Towards the end of the encounter, Chimaev got more and more fired up as he started to tapp his fist against Burns’ chest.

Khamzat Chimaev vs Gilbert Burns – all you need to know ahead of UFC 273
Chimaev vs Burns is the third bout on the UFC 273 pay-per-view main card. The fight is expected to start around 11 PM ET US time, which is 4 o’clock on Sunday morning in the UK and 5 in the morning in Sweden.
