The UFC 286 ceremonial weigh-ins just wrapped up in the O2 Arena, and the headlining champion Leon Edwards had the London fans all sorts of fired up ahead of his title defense against former welterweight champ Kamaru Usman.

Edwards and Usman will meet for the third time Saturday night as they’re currently one-apiece, with Usman winning their first fight back in 2015 as well as most of the contested rounds between them – and Edwards coming off a chocking head kick knockout to score one of the most incredible UFC comeback wins as they rematched hed last year.

Following his upset win, Edwards came up with some clever one-liners during his post-fight interview, one of them being the now-famous “pound-for-pound, headshot, dead” – a jab against Usman who came into the bout as the UFC’s No.1 ranked fighter pound-for-pound at the time.

Now, as Leon Edwards and Kamaru Usman faced off for the last time against Saturday’s trilogy bout, the London crowd showed their support for Edwards by chanting “headshot, dead!” all together as the champ took the microphone during his on-stage interview with UFC commentator Jon Anik.

Needless to say, the London fans buzzing ahead of what’ll most certainly be a really interesting world title fight.

UFC 286 marks the first time the promotion has brought a championship headliner to the UK since Michael Bisping defended his title against Dan Henderson in Manchester back in 2016. That fight was held in the middle of the night in order to cater to the American PPV buyers, but this time, the card will way start earlier luckily for the fans in Europe.
