On March 18, welterweight champion Leon Edwards and Kamaru Usman will run it back for a third time at UFC 286 in London. UFC president Dana White announced the news at the recent UFC Vegas 67 post-fight press conference.
The massive fight will take place seven months after Edwards defeated Usman at UFC 278, and will be the British fighter’s first title defence. He’s currently riding a ten-fight winning streak that dates back to his first fight with Usman back in 2015.
The former, and once so dominant, champion Usman will go to London to win back the welterweight strap he successfully defended five times. Before the loss to Edwards, “The Nigerian Nightmare” was riding an insane fifteen-fight winning streak.
