The pivotal bantamweight bout between top ranked contenders Marlon “Chito” Vera and Cory Sandhagen has a new date and location.
Instead of headlining the UFC Vegas 69 event on February 18, the fight now will take place at UFC San Antonio on March 25. UFC has not yet given a reason for rescheduling the highly anticipated fight, nor announced which fight that will headline UFC Vegas 69.
Vera rides a four-fight winning streak and is coming off a brutal knockout against Dominick Cruz, while Sandhagen comes from a fourth-round knockout against Song Yadong.
The main card of UFC San Antonio includes two highly interesting women’s bantamweight fights as former champion Holly Holm takes on No. 6 ranked Yana Kunitskaya, and No. 5 ranked Irene Aldana clashes with No. 2 ranked. Raquel Pennington
The fight card also features a clash between ranked welterweights Sean Brady and Michel Pereira.
