A highly interesting fight between ranked lightweights Renato Moicano and Benoit Saint-Denis is booked for the upcoming UFC event in Paris in September. That’s according to MMA Junkie.

As the bout is scheduled for five rounds it looks to be the main event of the fight card.

Home town hero Saint-Denis looks to bounce back from a tough knockout loss against Dustin Poirier at UFC 299 a few months back. That defeat snapped an impressive five-fight winning streak.

Moicano enters the fight on a three-fight winning streak including a recent TKO victory over Jalin Turner at UFC 300 in April. Moicano has been on fire over the past few years, winning five of his most recent six outings. His only defeat was a short-notice decision to Rafael dos Anjos in March 2022.

Announced fights for UFC Paris

UFC Paris will go down at Accor Arena in Paris, France, on September 28. The current fight card includes following matchups:

  • Lightweight bout: Renato Moicano vs. Benoit Saint Denis
  • Featherweight bout: Joanderson Brito vs. William Gomis
  • Bantamweight bout: Nora Cornolle vs. Germaine de Randamie

The event will mark the promotion’s third visit to Paris.

The first UFC card in France took place on September 3, 2022, and was headlined by a heavyweight fight between Ciryl Gane and Tai Tuivasa. The second UFC card, in September 2023, was again headlined by Gane. This time he took on Serghei Spivac.
