Welterweight fan favorites Jorge Masvidal and Kevin Holland aren’t fighting each other in the octagon at UFC 287, but nearly got into a fight in a hotel lobby in Miami ahead of the event.
It appears that the altercation did not turn physical, but there were verbal jabs thrown in both directions, and the pair was separated by security.
UFC will probably work hard to make sure Holland and Masvidal won’t get too close to each other during the next few days.
Videos of the altercation were soon uploaded on social media. Check it out below!
Jorge Masvidal currently faces felony charges for an alleged attack on fellow welterweight Colby Covington outside of a Miami steakhouse in March 2022.
He faces charges on aggravated battery and criminal mischief. Masvidal has pleaded not guilty.
On Saturday Masvidal will return to the octagon to face top ranked welterweight Gilbert Burns in the co-main event of UFC 287.
“This could be the last one. If I lose, I’m pretty much calling it quits. But a win against Gilbert means that things are headed in the right direction. So, if I roll the dice, and I do everything right, I’m going for it all. For one title or many titles,” Masvidal recently said about the pivotal fight.
