UFC flyweight contender Muhammad Mokaev aims to be the promotion’s youngest champion ever.
However, in his next fight at UFC 286 the undefeated fighter, Mokaev won’t fight a ranked fighter but instead the recent DWCS contract winner Jafel Filho, who will make his promotional debut.
The ranked flyweight recently explained the situation on Twitter.
“UFC Matchmaker Mick Maynard told me that no top 15 available for March 19th so I said give me anyone! April we have Ramadan , June I gonna start training and I didn’t want to waste time and miss this card! I tried my best to get top 15 opponent who could get me close to the belt,” Mokaev wrote on Twitter.
