No more crisis!
When the news broke that the anticipated lightweight bout between veteran Dustin Poirer and rising star Benoit Saint-Denis were off, fans all over the world were were shocked. The fight was one of the biggest on the UFC 299 fight card.
“There was no contractual agreement before the fight was announced and we couldn’t come to terms,” Poirier said about the fight.
However, just hours later, Poirier followed up with a tweet that stated that the bout is still on.
“Sorry folks, I jumped the gun, I couldn’t get a hold of my manager for a few days. I just spoke with him and Hunter. Misunderstanding on my part. Fight is on! See you March 9th Miami!!!
