At UFC 288 this past Saturday, surging lightweight contender Matt Frevola took his biggest win to date as he TKO’d the tough and durable Drew Dober in the first round.

In his post-fight interview with Joe Rogan, the American lightweight didn’t mince the words as he called out UK superstar Paddy Pimblett.

“Paddy Pimblett, you absolutely suck,” Frevola said. “Stop being a bitch and let’s fight. You’re on a four-fight win streak. I’m on a three-fight win streak. If you’re in the UFC, you can’t pick and choose your fights. You’ve got to fight who the fans want to see you fight.”

Paddy Pimblett: ”I’d fight Frevola when I’m back”

With the recent win against Dober, Matt Frevola broke into the lightweight division’s rankings at No. 14.

According to a response in a recent Instagram post, Paddy Pimblet considers the 32-year-old American a pretty comfortable way to get into the top of the stacked division.

“Bit of a weird time to call me out when I can’t even train,” Pimblett responded in a recent Instagram post. “But yes I’d fight Frevola when I’m back, probably the easiest route into the top 15.”

However, Frevola might not get his hopes up too much as Pimblett recently revealed that he’d be lucky if he will be ablo to compete in 2023.

In fact, ”The Baddy” is yet to return to training.

“I’ll get back in the gym when I can pal,” Pimblett said. “For now, the doctors have told me I cannot train.”
