Pannie Kianzad just took on Ketlen Vieira at UFC London in a pivotal women’s bantamweight bout.

In the second round Viera landed another quick takedown, controlling the Swede on the canvas. The Brazilian then locked up an arm triangle choke but the submission attempt amounted to nothing, she did manage to hold out in top position until the end of the round.

Kianzad began nicely on the feet in the third but was almost immediately taken down by her opponent. Vieira locked up a body triangle, trying to secure secure a rear naked choke but Kianzad managed to get out, landing on top. The Swede landed nice shots from top position but it wasn’t enough to end the fight.

Viere ended up winning the first two rounds with a judges score of 29-28, 29-28, 29-28.

Kianzad 16-7 came off of a win against Lina Länsberg in 2022. That was a much needed win following a 2021 decision loss that snapped a four fight win streak. She is now back in the losing column, with a win being imperative.

Vieira 14-3, most recently ended up with a split decision loss against Raquel Pennington in her most recent outing heading into UFC London. Before that she had two straight wins over former UFC champions.
