Saturday’s UFC main event between middleweights Roman Dolidze and Nassourdine Imavov might not be the biggest of draws.
According to the co-main event fighter Renato Moicano, a Brazilian UFC veteran, the main event is completely uninteresting.
“I’m sorry, I don’t have nothing against these guys, but I don’t even know their names.” Moicano told MMA Fighting. “I’m not saying I should be the main event, but that should not be the main event for sure. Whatever. It’s a Fight Night, nobody cares. Main event, co-main event, nobody cares.”
“But if you’re asking me if Dolidze – and I don’t even know his name – if they are main event worthy, I would say not. Maybe they are good fighters, I don’t know.”
The Brazilian former featherweight will take on stoppage machine Drew Dober on Saturday. A fight that is far from easy, but Moicano is confident that he will get the job down.
“I think I’m more well-rounded. I think I can strike with him on the feet. Probably he has more power than me on the hands, right? Knockout artist. But at the end of the day, I think I’m even better than him on the striking. No disrespect to him, but I will beat him on Saturday.”
